Dear sirs, I need information about the best way to install a Smoke System in a 8kcab. If there is a factory kit or if I can made with other components.
All the info and modifications that you recomend I appreciate.
This is a pretty cool smoke system, didn't know that super decathlon exists though, I'm much more interested in paraphrase help online which is helping and existing just for the students - such is it's use and purpose, and it's good at it, really good.
Does ACA have any completed 337's they could share for a Smoking Airplanes system installed in a 7 series? I have a 7ECA but I've been told I'll need to show two or three 337 examples to receive approval. Super D's are available, but can't find any 7 series. Thanks!
When you add a smoke system like this, can you easily remove it? I'd like to be able to remove it for some flights, seems like if it were made with quick disconnect it could clip in and out in 3 minutes.
The tank can removed from the lower angles fairly easily - you may be able to find a way to make the rest of the removal/installation simple. You would need to accommodate electrical for the pump, oil line to the exhaust, and the vent line for the tank. The system is installed with a 337 so there is some freedom to install it in a manner that works for you.
American Champion recommends the 3.5 or 5.5 gallon Smoking Airplanes system, smokingairplanes.com. We typically install the 5.5 gallon vertical tank (P/N A-SA-SFO12V) but the other tank options should work as well. Installation is via a field approval. The tank rails are mounted to the floorboard in the baggage area; fasteners at the front of the floorboard are replaced with bolts and AN970 washers. If you are looking for a smoke system with an approval consider Milman STC SA874NW.
