Wondering if the clevis is adjustable by rotating the nut or if the nut is a lock mechanism and the strut needs to be loosened at both ends and the jury strut in order to swing it away from the mount enough to rotate the clevis.

Wally, Yes the jamb nut needs to be backed off then you can adjust the fitting. No need to remove the jury struts.
