A brand new 180 HP 8GCBC Scout will soon be on its way to Australia's Department of Parks and Wildlife (DPaW). The Department has been in business with American Champion Aircraft since 1992 and has a fleet of 10 of our aircraft. This is the 28th plane that ACA has manufactured for DPaW.
Aside from managing numerous state and national parks, the Department is also responsible for fire spotting and suppressing West Australian bushfires. It's very humbling to think that the aircraft we've manufactured are playing a role in the efforts to control the current fires in Australia.
To all who are fighting the blazes, keep up the good work and stay safe out there! Our thoughts are with you.
